New model for film.

For the last little while I've been working part time on a short Star Trek film. Basically I am handling all the CG elements and VFX. Part of this entails building the models. For this film there is a never before seen Hero ship designed by the great Andrew Probert, the designer that gave us the redesigned Enterprise of the movies, the Delorian from Back to the Future and many more memorable and iconic pieces. After about a month or so, I have the ship finished. It took a touch of back and forth between Probert, the producer and I, but here is the not quite finalized design. Even though I haven't received final approval, I thought I'd share anyway.

Blink Test.avi

Whenever I have flashing lights on a model, I use a animated texture map to control the luminence. Doing a little house-cleaning led me to fixing up my blink textures, and this is just a test of that

Ent B test 5

Ya, it's been awhile since I posted anything here. Been working on some stuff for films that I have tied me up for awhile. Did manage to break this old model out and do some new textures and materials though.
